Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Engineer. The candidate must have previous experience with DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing). You will be responsible for installation, commissioning, and support for our Sintela products.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and prepare for installations and trials
Support our partners to install, commission and understand the DAS data they have.
Analyse data with multiple signal processing techniques
Configure and tune all detection algorithms within the Sintela Software
Perform and lead customer Site Acceptance Tests (SAT’s)
Perform comprehensive quality control for recorded data
Maintain customer relations

Requirements

Must be a US citizen.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or a related field. A Master’s degree would be an advantage.
Proven experience as a Field Engineer, with a significant track record in the technology or fiber-optic industry.
Ability to work flexibly and travel around the world when required.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Bristol, UK

Job Title – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Location – Onsite – Pill, Bristol, UK

Job Description

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be integral to the hardware development team, working on product design and development, as well as supporting production activities. You will be involved at every stage of the development cycle, from generation of new ideas, 3D modelling of concepts, thermal simulation of concepts, generating drawings and documentation packs for manufacture, first-off builds, and ongoing production support.

Key Responsibilities

Design and oversee the generation of Mechanical concepts and designs to meet both customer projects and internal development needs.
Continuous product improvement through interactions with production team.
Supplier management for sourcing parts and management of supplier quality.

Required Skills and Experience

Proven experience working on multi-disciplinary projects is essential.
Strong background in Electro-Mechanical design and thermal analysis
Proficiency in using SolidWorks for CAD design, Flow Simulation experience desirable.
Excellent understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and production techniques
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think innovatively to overcome design challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, always ensuring attention to detail and high standards are maintained

OS System architecture definition and implementation

Required Skills and Experience

Experience with kernel-level embedded Linux development – BSP, device drivers, boot architecture.
Degree in Embedded Systems, Electronics or Computing (or equivalent experience).
Experience with Nvidia L4T, Yocto or NixOS is highly desirable.
