Zara is recognised as a pioneer and global expert in the use of distributed fiber optic sensing (DFOS) in mining. For many years, Zara has worked closely with mine operators to identify groundbreaking applications of Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and Distributed Strain Sensing (DSS) technologies to deliver new insights and approaches to safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Leading and growing Sintela’s mining business

Zara will be leading and growing the mining business unit of Sintela with dedicated investment to help advance fiber optic sensing applications, she will lead efforts to expand the adoption of DAS and DSS technologies in areas such as:
